RVR Feaures - Water crane changed May 2021

The water crane is being erected at Robertsbridge Junction station.

History
Above is that crane and tank when it was located at Shewsbury Abbey on the S&M or Potts line. One of Colonel Stephens lines.

Couple of little Gazelle (now on display in Tenterden museum) having a fill up from Shrewsbury Abbey tank

S&MR 0-6-06 THISBE (ex-L&SWR (Ilfracombe Goods)(built BP 1210(1873) (rebuilt Adams 1888)
An army Austerity at the Shrewsbury Abbey tank - the S&M was used as a massive war time ammunition storage area and continued to be operated by them for a few years after.

The below Following Snippet was found on the web.....

It was purchased and recovered by the Bala Lake Railway in the 1970's but never used by them. 

Acquired by K&ESR in 1980's and installed at Witt Road Station (see pic) for a few years.

Foundations for the tower have been installed at the South end of the platform.

The blue pipe being the feed to the water tower on the opposite side of the track.

The below plans were released in Aug 2014

The modification to the water crane which is non intrusive of the integrity of the water crane itself
